Colours and prints. Summer. Brazil! Oh, how I love Brazilian Fashion (for kids AND adults). To share my passion with you, I proudly present A Fábula (The Fable), the kids collection from Brazilian brand Farm (they’re a hit in the country!). Comfortable childish clothes, perfect for playing around and being a kid. A Fábula also has a great website and their shop at Rio Design Leblon mall was mentioned at Style Sight because of its unique architecture and decoration! Check it out and get some summer waves to warm you up!

Still in the “posh baby” mood, last week I visited Ballon Rouge, the kidswear department of Gassmann Mode. With the e-books boom, kids wouldn’t have been left behind! This nice application for Iphone is really educational and fun! When you download it, you get for free “Three O’Clock on the Farm”, an interactive book with sounds and animation (everything optional). Besides, after reading the book, you (or you kids, hehe) may play a game based on the story. What I like about it is that you can always buy new books, so your kids will frequently have something new to read (of course kids just love reading the same book 1000 times, but still….). Ladybug’s Bookshelf is designed for kids between 2-6 years old. I like it!

Tom & Lisa is a brand new Kidswear shop at one of the most traditional locations in Zürich. Only 12 days old and between Fraumünster and St. Jakob churches, the shop is a delight. Unique decoration and articles, everything very sophisticated. At Tom & Lisa you may find clothes for boys and girls, toys, accessories and even furniture.
One of their special concept is their Present Box: in their website, you may choose between 3 different boxes, each one with 4 items inside. There is also the special box, where you can choose which items you want to gift. (Please note that their website will be soon available, as the shop is brand new!)
Some of the brands you can find there: Monnalisa (Clothes and Furniture), Il Gufo, Nolita, Burberry Kids, Gallucci (Shoes), Mini Mink, Regina Mütze, Rejane Rosenberger (Jewerly), Kaloo (Toys), Steiff (Toys) and more.
Tom & Lisa. Storchengasse 2, 8001 Zürich. Don’t miss the chance to be one of the firsts to get to know them!

If you like sewing your own children’s clothes or if you like giving presents with meaning, you must get to know “Making Children’s Clothes” by Emma Hardy, ed. Cico. I have the book myself and, although I’m no sewing expert, the outfits are quite easy to make. My favourite one: pyjamas!!!
“Using just a few simple sewing techniques, discover the easy way to create fun and stylish outfits for young children (0 to 5 years). By combining a few easy-to-learn stitches with great fabrics and trims, expert seamstress Emma Hardy explains how to make beautiful yet practical clothes for your children. Choose from 25 different projects, including party frocks and pinafore dresses, simple shirts and elasticated trousers, sleepwear and accessories, such as hats, bibs, bootees and aprons. There are clothes for young boys and girls, toddlers and babies, plus full-size paper patterns that can easily be scaled to suit different ages. Packed with useful tips and sewing techniques, Making Children’s Clothes provides a comprehensive guide to creating fantastic items that your child will love to wear.”
Give it a try! There is still plenty of time to make a complete outfit for Christmas!

Electric. Theatrical. Playful. I couldn’t find better adjectives to describe Mabel (as you may notice, I wasn’t able to take any frontal pictures of her). Running around, playing with the birds at Bürkliplatz, the sweet little child was certainly properly and well dressed for her activities! Great hearts bonnet!!! Her mum told me they’re leaving Zürich after working here for a while. I wish you all the best, dear Mabel (and family)!

“Because taking care of our environment is also taking care of our children.”
Good start, right? Well, this is L’asticot‘s philosophy. Designed for children between 2 and 10 years old, the Swiss brand has ethical production at the heart of their creative process. The whole collection is made of biological materials and natural fibers, such as cotton, wool, flax or hemp, and production respects the standards of fair trade.
The collection is unisex: siblings can use the same garments today or in the future – “Because a garment that lasts is a garment that helps keep the planet …”
You can find L’asticot in Zürich at Little Company or online at pitBOO. Click here to see where to find their boutiques in other Swiss cities and in other countries.
Beautiful, isn’t it?
