It is with great pleasure that I present you Black Sheep, a babywear label from Israel. Perfect for hip, alternative parents, I mean, babies (hehehe), the brand is designed to wear cool little ones – comfortable garments yet alternative to conventions of ordinary baby’s fashion.
Black Sheep is represented by SARAFAN Showroom, in Tel Aviv.
Here are some pictures that made me feel like marrying a rock star or getting smaller to get into the skull sarouel jumpsuit!

As many top big brands, Stella McCartney also has a Kidswear Collection. But differently from other maisons, the garments are not labeled, which I personally think it’s great – baby branding is not cool. The famous british designer clearly keeps the focus on the target group: everything very cheerful and colourful, just like every kid loves. The website is a must and they make international delivery! Here are some pictures of the collection.

If you like sewing your own children’s clothes or if you like giving presents with meaning, you must get to know “Making Children’s Clothes” by Emma Hardy, ed. Cico. I have the book myself and, although I’m no sewing expert, the outfits are quite easy to make. My favourite one: pyjamas!!!
“Using just a few simple sewing techniques, discover the easy way to create fun and stylish outfits for young children (0 to 5 years). By combining a few easy-to-learn stitches with great fabrics and trims, expert seamstress Emma Hardy explains how to make beautiful yet practical clothes for your children. Choose from 25 different projects, including party frocks and pinafore dresses, simple shirts and elasticated trousers, sleepwear and accessories, such as hats, bibs, bootees and aprons. There are clothes for young boys and girls, toddlers and babies, plus full-size paper patterns that can easily be scaled to suit different ages. Packed with useful tips and sewing techniques, Making Children’s Clothes provides a comprehensive guide to creating fantastic items that your child will love to wear.”
Give it a try! There is still plenty of time to make a complete outfit for Christmas!
